  • The .Net Side User Group is named as Community Credit's Most Active Contributing Group of 2006

The end of the year has just passed.  Wow, that was quick one and a great one at the same time!  Over the last year, about 10 to 20 computer geeks have earned stupid awards and gifts each month.   I am not sure exactly how many people were really aware of it, but one of the lesser publicized contests that has been active all throughout the year was between the communities themselves.  The actual community that supports the development community in the best fashion would win a Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite with MSDN® Premium Subscription. It was a pretty cool prize that was awarded to the most deserving community.  If you look on the left hand side of the main site (not the blog or forums), you will see the top communities listed.

Well, the grand winner for this past year was the .Net Side User group who has proven itself to have the most active users and the ones that best contribute to the development community.  A special thanks to Mighel Locuratolo, who runs the group! Excellent Job, Mighell!!!  Now, the way the award works is that Mighell has the option to decide how to allocate the prize.  I am sure that he was tempted to even keep it for himself. Big Smile  Instead, he put on his hat as selfless leader of his community and selected the person who he think best exemplified supporting the development community. His choice was Vito Arconzo and awarded the prize to him.  Congrats Vito on a job well done and to Mighell for leading on such an active community.
