This ready to fly miniature jump jet is inspired by the famous vertical takeoff Harrier Jets. It can take off, hover and land like a helicopter and fly around like a jet using four gyroscopically balanced rotors for precision omni-directional flying. It should stay aloft for around 8-10 minutes or so before the built-in rechargeable batteries need a refueling.

3rd Prize: Babushka Lights
Traditionally Russian nested dolls consisted of a large wooden figure that could then be separated to reveal a small figure inside, which could also be separated to reveal smaller and smaller figures down a very tiny figurine in the center. The Mathmos Babushka Light is the modern, lit version of this concept where the dolls are revealed in a sequence of different coloured lights and effects. When the buld lights red, the infinity effect is visible revealing a seemingly never ending row of red dolls, when blue the edges of the larger dolls are lit and also cycles through red to pink and purple and on to blue displaying different effects as it goes. The lamp can easily be turned on and off by pushing down on the top of the light. Kind of a unique and hypnotic nightlight.
4th Prize: The Pin Clock
This is one of the coolest clocks ever seen, The Pin Clock. Remember those pin toys that you could press your hand into to make a design on the other side, well this clock operates on the same principle. Pins raise and lower to create the actual time.
