I have started using Facebook more regularly and to start using it even more.  It does take time to keep current on it.  I am curious to know how much time others put into facebook.

 Honestly, not much. I've got it on my blackberry to reply to anything that needs my attention. Otherwise, I'm a twitter addict.

Perhaps I should add a thread about twitter and/or LinkedIn.  You are definitely not the only Twitter addict out there, but you are in good company.

I have to admit just like the others I spend too much time as well but, I have begun the Facebook detox process. While Facebook is fun and a nice way to get intouch with those who you have lost and meet new people. We need to remember that you have to becare of what type of pics you post. I heard a story of someone who was offered a job but, then had it recended after they saw a photo of him on Faccebook with a bong. Just remember unlike Vegas what happens on Facebook stays with you for life.

 All kidding aside, that is very sound advice.  One of the first things that companies do when they start taking you seriously for a position is that they google  (err... I mean, they Bing) your name and sometimes what comes up can be held against you.  The reality is that they probably won't tell you, unlike the person in your example.  You just won't get the position.  Even email addresses can be held against you.  For example, if your email is HeavyDrinker@aol.com, anybody recieving your resume may just throw it into the "ignore" pile and you will never know why, you will just know that you never got called.
