Real Life Halo Suit For Military Purposes

Troy Hurtubise has created a Halo like armor suit called “Trojan”, which he hopes will aid Canadian troops in Afghanistan and U.S. troops in Iraq.

    Check it out

I dunno - speaking as a military veteran I can say that wearing the existing body armour, chem-gear, etc. that we have is bulky and restrictive enough...sure it works ok if you're out walking around, but to get in and out of a vehicle quickly is tricky. This suit looks to be the same...fine if you're dismounted on patrol, but not so fine if you are riding somewhere in a Hummer and need to get out of it in a hurry.

Bottom line though - if it does provide superior protection to the troops...sweet deal then, I'm for it.
