    Well here goes nothing .........
I have done M.Sc. in Software engineering from University of Sunderland in UK. I presently work as an Analyst programmer in a Housing group.
I used to live in Karachi, Pakistan and worked as a Journalist. I still watch cartoons and I love cats.
Most of my time I either feel like a child or a 80 years old Grand pa.

Hi Rizwan - welcome aboard :)

How do you like living in the UK? I spent about 5 years living around Cambridge, Peterborough and Northampton (I kept moving) during the 90's. One of the things I liked the most was travelling down to London and spending the day just hanging out there.

    Regards,

    Lou

    Re: Hello All

    Thanks LouVega,

My apologies for not getting back to you soon. I'm trying to backup my data and then format the notebook. I had vista home premium running but I got lots of problem with Vs Orcas plus the graphics driver is having a glitch as well.
That's great I've been to Cambridge once and I think its a very nice place speacially the people there they are very nice.
I visited Northampton once as some of my friends use to live there. I like Newcastle because of the weather, the peace and calm and the life.

Somehow i never really find London a interesting place. The first time I visited I stayed there for 5 days, visited many of the places. Next time I had to be there for about 2 -3 months because of the contract work. There were tube strikes at that time and the weather was hot and I'm a +cool person. Each day even after the tube strikes the whole dilemma of going into tubes in the morning and then again repeat the same exercise in the evening was just too much for me. Each day when I left i had a crystal white shirt on and each day when i return the shirt seemed like a black stripes sample. Houses were expensive and not that much space was there.

The life is fast over there, people are ok in attitude but still they have got some sort of distance.

Newcastle is like a town in comparision to London but when people come over there they fell in love with Newcastle and don't go back ...........

Everybody wish me good luck with my notebook as its too much of a job.

    Thanks

    Rizwan

    Kind Regards,

    Rizwan

    Re: Hello All

Good luck with your notebook :)

As for London, yes it was a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to actually live there for many of the reasons you mentioned. I wanted to actually visit Newcastle because I had a friend from the U.S. going to school there, but never made it there.
