&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="DISPLAY:inline;"&gt;[YouTube:WPn73Z7hC4g]&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description></item><item><title>Re: 'I would buy a Mac if I didn't work for Microsoft'</title><link>http://www.community-credit.com/cs/forums/p/778/1686.aspx#1686</link><pubDate>Thu, 14 Dec 2006 09:52:55 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">dc2d8ed1-db5f-43a8-9632-42f90caf747d:1686</guid><dc:creator>DavidSilverlight</dc:creator><description>&lt;P&gt;In my personal opinion, Windows is now more user friendly than Macs are.&amp;nbsp; That's right I said it!&amp;nbsp; Windows XP&amp;nbsp;is &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;U&gt;MORE&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; user friendly than the MacOS.&amp;nbsp; I don't use a Mac actually, but a few months ago, I had an opportunity to use a Mac for some things that I was helping somebody with.&amp;nbsp; After hearing years of bragging about how user friendly and intuitive the Mac is, I assumed that it would be fun and that I would be able to navigate around the Mac with ease.&amp;nbsp; That was not the case.&amp;nbsp; Using it was actually a bit painful for the first few minutes.&amp;nbsp; I even&amp;nbsp;tried to run a video with Realplayer and it locked up the machine.&amp;nbsp; I am still waiting on the Mythbusters episode on "Mac is the most intuitive operating system".&amp;nbsp; Although I was able to navigate around and accomplish what I was trying to do after a few minutes of getting accustomed to the environment and doing a little bit of hunting around, that certainly doesn't qualify it as "intuitive", a term that you always hear regarding the Mac.&amp;nbsp; Sure, A few years ago they were more intuitive and user friendly&amp;nbsp;than Windows, but that is no longer the case.&amp;nbsp; I would say that the latest version of Windows XP is at least as intuitive as the Mac OS, if not moreso.&amp;nbsp; Why? My guess is that while the folks at Apple were sitting around patting themselves on the back for having such a user friendly operating system, the folks at Microsoft applied the feedback by their millions of users and created something even friendlier.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;My conclusion... both operating systems are really impressive and it is probably splitting hairs by saying that one is easier to use than the other.&amp;nbsp; But Apple no longer has the edge in this area that they had for so many years.&lt;/P&gt;
