To correct some possible misinformation, I was discussing this with a colleague of mine and he mentioned that this video is way old. Apparently, it generated enough bad press that they changed their pricing structure so that the batteries can be changed for less than what it would cost to buy a new one. It also opened an after market to for other companies to sell battery replacement services.

Did you know that your iPod is only as good as the batteries? Once they expire, so does the iPod. I wonder if they have changed this in the more recent version. Pretty shocking, IMHO.
